Some folks get specialized training on Oxygen. Other folks THINK they know enough about oxygen when all they know is "run, it is highly flammable".
So when he who has studied it corrects the confused, he gets flamed. Not even worth educating the scared. Leave them be.
Those who know the fire tetrahedron need not waste their breath.

There was this guy who drove a lorry filled with dynamite. The dynamite caught on fire, so he calls an explosive expert.
"Should I dump the load in the water?"
Its sort of the same situation. Many would think dumping the burning dynamite into water would be the wise thing to do, but thats not the case. Dynamite will still burn while under water, but the gasses wont have an escape route and itll blow. As long as its left in the open, it just makes good firewood..
The big difference would of course be that running/staying away from mixing nitrox in your garage wont cause any harm, whereas dumping the dynamite in water would :p
