Ok i would like to start mixing some partial pressure nitrox at home. I was wondering how many fills can you get out of a 250 cft tank of O2. Is it worth it and do any of you do this. Thanks

Get the Oxygen Hackers handbook from Air Speed Press. If you're gonna home brew, well worth the read.
The book's a must, otherwise check you homeowners' insurance.<G>

If you don't know what you're doing, pp filling could end up in a large "Ka-Boom!!", or at the very least an O2-fueled fire...

BOOM! I beleive I saw some demontrative on this board somewhere.

Regards,

What if i do know what i am doing... and i am not a idiot and i take all of the precautions...And i do know it is dangerous but not that dangerous...Looking for some help from someone that does do it at home, not someone who posts a stupid comment because they are board at work and have nothing else to do besides doubt the know how of the other scubaboard members. Thanks

First. If you haven't, take a gas blender course from a good instructor.

If you are mixing <40%, then you'll probably about 10-15 or so AL80s filled depending on the starting pressure in the supply bottle.

I have been blending NTX and trimix at home for several years. Before you get all defensive the posts above were concerned for your safety. I can't help but observe if you really knew what you were doing you could easily calculate the answer to your question.:no

I bet this encourages more answers... You should be thanking them for looking out for you.
