We dive cold water all the time and I can confirm (as others have said) this is a total non issue.

MOD is calculated by a pre-determined PPO2 which will vary according to your beliefs and training. You then dive to around that depth, but if your depth gauge is accurate enough to be sure that your are within a meter of the depth you have something other than standard scuba gear.

Go out and dive. Lighten up. Turn your obvious intellect and intelligence to solving global climate change and we will all be grateful to you for ever :D
