I was just reading an article in the Scouts in Scuba Section. In the article that I was reading there was a statement about lets go get narced. This concerns me a lot. The new youth (NOT ALL YOUTH) coming into diving dont really have the grasp of what responsible diving really means.
Come on, diving just to get nitrogen Narcosis. That is dangerous, not even something to joke around about as a new diver. I had a couple of friends when I went to dive school. Both 18 and new to the sport. They were doing 140 bounce dives to just get narced. One of them didnt make it back alive. He got narced and couldnt function and rain out of air and drown. I feel that we need to make the new youth divers aware of how dangerous that this can really be. Please help us pass the word and keep everyone safe.
