After going out the weekend before last looking for mantas and not finding any, last Saturday I decided to use my 100mm macro lens. Sure enough, with the most inappropriate lens for a critter that big a huge black manta appeared on the first dive and followed me around like a puppy dog and kept bumping into me. Here's my favourite shots from the two dives we did:

I feel like I am being watched very closely :rofl3: . Great shots. I am still envious of all divers diving Ningaloo. Incredible wildlife and visibility.

Lovely shots with what you had to work with!

An experience of a lifetime, and you can not be upset with that. As photographers we attempt to share the world with others, but sometimes we just have to be satisfied with the world we do not put on film. Those IMO are the special moments, so cherish that.

Great eyeball shot! Sounds like a good reason to keep a little P&S in your BC Pocket.
