Ok, we're bringing down a group of about 8-10 divers to do an overnight trip to WPB (sat. afternoon reef/ sun. morning wreck). We're using Jim Abernethy's.

Where do we go Saturday night?
Any of you locals down there have anything going on?
Or wanna plan a diver's get-together?
Know of good beer/cheap food? Or vice versa?
A night shore dive?

Hi cra--
The common hang out for many divers after diving up that way is called the Brass Ring--burgers, beer, nothing fancy. Never been there at night, however.
If you're looking for more action, the place to go is usually CityPlace, off Okeechobee Blvd. Overpriced, but several clubs, etc. (More Martini and wine bars kind of thing).
A new favorite for many boater types is the Square Grouper up in Jupiter--now known as the place Jimmy Buffett and Alan Jackson did the video "It's 5:00 Somewhere"...Alan Jackson is know to how up for impromptu concerts. On the intracoastal, tiki hut kind of place. Jupiter is @ 20 minutes north of WPB.
As for shore dives in WPB, your options are generally limited to the Blue Heron Bridge--don't know the tide schedule; you'd want to go out at high tide.
Enjoy your stay!

Thanks Krista
What age/music is the crowd at City Place?
And does anyone dance at any of these places you've mentioned?

CityPlace age range--all of the above. Teenagers milling outside the movie theater, bars include every age range imaginable, but generally more professional crowd. Blue Martini is most likely for dancing, though the music (bands) is hit or miss-popular, not techno. Can get pretty crowded; though beware, a Martini is @$11 and up (though serves @ 2-3 drinks.
There are a lot more dance clubs further downtown, but are late night and the crowds are very young. Parking is also not free there.

When are ya'll coming down? I'm always up for a dive!
