The Glo-Toob sounds GREAT, any idea where to get one in SE Florida?

Someone told me that he throws a cyalume into his kayak hatch and it makes the whole kayak glow. Sounds cool!

So just throw some glow sticks into the Kayak and you get a Gloyak...?
I will definately be trying that one with my yellow Kayak.

Hi Debby! I got my first Glo-Toob from my LDS, Fantasea SCUBA. It's the smaller sized one that only turns on or off. Then I got a Lithium Glo-Toob directly from the website. It's much brighter and has about 8 or 9 different types of flashes (strobe, beacon, constant on, etc.) They are pretty expensive, tho. I'm starting to like the idea of rigging running lights on the yak. You can pick them up at Walmart pretty cheap and I already have a power source that I use to run my depth finder/gps.

I don't think the cyalume in the hatch would be much brighter than a muted glow. Lights inside the kayak would work, tho. I remember when we went down to Cape Coral to watch the boat parade at Christmas, there were some kayaks in it and they had put red and green flashing lights inside the hull. Looked pretty cool.

:rofl3::rofl3::rofl3:

I wonder if there are any shops in SouthEAST Florida that carry the GloToob...I wrote to the company and have not heard back. Perhaps their website wasn't working correctly that day but I could not find any links to purchase it online. Are you able to give me a link for that?

I actually do not intend to kayak at night, but a GloToob would be really cool for my dive flag on night beach dives!!!

I am installing a cleat for an anchor/tow line this week (DIY job because I am too cheap to have a pro do it).
Heck, I just clip mine to my bow carry handle with a big stainless carabiner clip.

No kidding? WAY COOL...which department? I live really close to a Home Depot. How about Lowe's? I have a Lowe's coupon I've been wanting to use.
