Tampa Bay's defense may even be better this year. They will probably be a contender, but I don't think they'll repeat. I think some of their strong competition will figure them out much like what was done to Baltimore a few years ago.

The Vick injury is unfortunate. I was looking forward to watching his start of the season.

Go Packers

PhotoTJ once bubbled...
Emmitt will have a 1100 yard season, and hang out for one more.

With an offensive line like Arizona has, Emmitt will be lucky to rush for 1,100 feet....he won't get a sniff of 1,100 yards.

Tampa will be a dominate team, possibly repeat. I've waited since I was a kid for them to get to the Super Bowl and win, now they have. I even had the pic out of me in 1st grade with my creamcicle jersey on to show my wife :)

Conversely, and much to my wifes appreciation, I picked the Lions to have a better year. At least a .500 season, they have talent, but just could not finish a game to save their back ends last year. Based on that she's tacked her jersey up in the living room again.

The Eagles, Bills, and Steelers are going to be tough again this year. Miami is showing strong promise and should make the play offs, but aren't showing Super Bowl. Oakland will be up there as well. The Pats may make it, but I don't see the fire they had a few years ago. Colts and Cardinals will be on on the sidelines, the Jags and Panthers will have some good showings but nothing consistant, and the Redskins and Cowboys will be tackling dummies again. Those I didnt mention will fall in the mid-range of their average play the past few years and be merely stumbling blocks that some will pass on the road to the play offs and others will get stuck on while trying to get to the couch and watch the play offs. ;)

Tim Couch appears to be available...

HELLO, ARE YOU LISTENING???

I've never once been a Dallas fan but if they picked up Couch I would stamp a big silver and blue star on my forhead. Couch will be starting again next year.

Don't hold your breath. Parcells proved he was only human when he coached the Jets.

Yes, I'm still bitter............

J..E..T..S..

I'm not a big TUNA fan either but he did bring Chad Pennington to the jets.

Yes he did. Now if he only stuck around and honored his commitment to building a great team around him........

Don't mind me, I'm still mad about some of the decisions Al Arbour made while coaching the NY Islanders 20 years ago

I totally understand

Pennington............Out for the season ;-0

Nothing like having your guts ripped out before the season even starts!
