Portage quarry-- Big event
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Since Kentucky,Indiana and Ohio are neighbors this event might be of interest to some of you....
<<LEGENDS OF DIVING>>
August 10, 11 & 12
<<Starts Friday evening and ends Sunday afternoon>>
Portage Quarry -Bowling Green Ohio
Presenters:
Zale Parry;
Pioneer woman diver--TV & Movie actress, Holder of womans depth record (1954), third female SCUBA instructor in the world, and certainly the first lady of American SCUBA diving
Alex Pierce;
World class expert on Sea Hunt...comming down from Canada
Sam Lecoq
Father of the American single hose regulator-inventor and holder of many diving patents- First employee of Rene Bussoz, founder of US Divers
Will present his new book about the early days at the event,
And others....
Like the Kentucky Derby, the Indy 500 this is an event you do not want to miss...This may be the last time these pioneer divers will appear in the area.
Suggest checking out www.portagequarry.com "Legends of diving." Would also suggest that you might want to read some of Sam & Sam's articles...Or visit Leon Lyons on line museum of diving....
Stronly urge all who can to attend
