Got a link to that fare? The best Sat-Sat I can find is $582 (fees included). Thanks!

Yeah, there's them stinkin' fees and taxes. It's what I hate about Continental's (and all the others' as well, I'll hazard a guess) website. When you start looking at fares it will tell you "from $302" (or some such), and keeps that number until the very end, when it does the "oh, by the way, the real price is $538" thing. That's bordering on bait and switch.

One thing to remember is that traveling Sat to Sat is usually the most expensive. Recently I was madly looking for a fare that HAD to be on anything BUT a charter since I was traveling with a dog.
American which is pet friendly had fares in the $500-600 range and I was losing it until I kept putting in other days and found a $230 fare good ONLY on Tuesdays. Jumped on that one!!.....Very odd since the flights on Mon and Wed were half full and twice the price. I realize that not everyone can make their vacations happen mid-week to mid-week but it's worth a shot if you can do it.

I looked at your June 14 date and, yes, it's higher.

Mine was April 26th - May 3. Still up for that price if anyone wants... 250+fees [$350 tot] Denver to CZM same day.

Wonder if it will go down as you get closer ?

GL on your hunt

On the continental site you can check a box to look for cheaper fare +/- 3 days too... that helps.

That sux....the fight arrival and departure times on the Frontier flights were perfect, and we loved the Wed - Wed. flights. Gotta be some way to give em our input on this, even though it will prob have no effect.

Just got off the phone with Frontier.

They are offering to refund my whole ticket or send me back to DEN via Cancun.

Neither option is ideal...

To rebuy a similar ticket will cost us an extra $250
To fly out of Cancun adds $225 and a whole lot of time with shuttles and ferrys

funny thing is... They actually never called me to tell me my flight was canceled - I heard through my wife who actually has a whole separate reservation as we are not traveling together to MX, just returning on the same flight. The reservation agent said "I'm sure we've already called your husband". They didn't

At this point, I don't think I'll fly Frontier again. They took my money, confirmed my flight, canceled it, failed to let me know it was canceled, and then refuse to make up the cost difference.

</vent off>

Oh..., and Frontier.... when I cancel on you, you want $100 for the hassle of changing my flight plus the extra fare cost? Well..... ME TOO.

Changes to your itinerary may result in a $100 change fee and any applicable fare difference.

Airline prices are going to go up because of the cost of fuel. Less people will go to Coz because of the prices of the airline tickets. Will the hotels and dive ops lower their prices to entice divers back? Or will they raise their prices to make up for lost volume? I gotta tell ya, I'm balanced on the edge right now. I'd love to go, but the cost from New York... I just can't commit. If the hotel and dive prices go up, well, I'll be diving the local mud exclusively this summer.

Hey Caseybird---are you aware that JetBlue flies from JFK to CUN??........I just messed around on their site and got a round trip fare WITH TAX INCLUDED for $298 in mid-June.......not sure how attached to the mud-diving you are, but that seems pretty darn good to me!.....(non-stop).

I understand what they are saying, and yes, they are doing exactly as you say they are.
