Newport Diving Center is going to resume summer night dive madness.
What is summer night dive madness you ask?

Well in the summers of 2003 and 2004 the Staff at Newport Diving center began sponsoring a night dive one night a week to give our customers more opportunities to dive and socialize. The idea sprang from conversations about how the staff at NDC can dive so much and when we ask the question back to our customers of why do you dive so little? the response was mainly my weekends are booked. So Night dive madness was born to help those of us who start to get too antsy when there is too much blood in our nitrogen systems, by providing a non-weekend based dive opportunity, and since most of us need to work to support our scuba habit, late afternoon and evening became the best time to make this work.

So one night a week, random from week to week, we are going to offer a fun night dive at one of the many local dive sites. The diving is free but since it is a shop sponsored event our only requirement is that participants be AOW or Night Dive Specialty certified.
AOW and Night Dive classes for those of you who lack these qualifications start the 1st weekend of May.
So come on down and get qualified early on in the season so you can log more dives. And if you have Tivo you won't even miss yout favorite show.

Where do you plan on doing the night dives? I did my AOW night dive at Kings beach but have not done a night dive since then.

Sounds like it might be fun.

We do the dive all over the place based on weather, interest and experience level. some spots are:
Land's End.
Kings Beach
Fort Adams
Fort Wetherill
Bull Point
Any of the parking lots at Beaver Tail.
Van Zandt Pier.
Some times we venture over to naragansett.
Like I said it depends.
Hope to see you there
