Did a solo dive at Kings beach today. Used my 50cuft IDs. Conditions were: Sunny, light wind WSW, tide was incoming went slack and turned during the dive. Water temp was 67F surface 64F bottom. Start time 1130 end time 1400, bottom 2.0 hrs 2.5hr total in water. Vis was 15' @20FSW dropping off to 3' @max depth of 35FSW avg depth 20'. Small white something was suspended in the water further obscuring visibility. Consumed 4000psi of 21%
Found a striped bass belly up on the bottom in 20FSW. The gills were moving and the tail was moving slowly. Lucky for him I don't eat fish! I grabbed his tail and spun us both around in a circle he went backwards. I stopped and let him go...zoom gone! My theory is whatever caused the stuff suspended in the water depleted O2 in pockets and fish his size were effected if like him they swam into one of those pockets. Here's a picture I took of him:

I posted that it was a solo dive but this little guy here insisted I not dive alone and followed me around most of the dive!

A good dive all things considered a great way to spent one of the last days before I go back to work.
