Newport Aquarium/Cincinnati Zoo Volunteer Dive Teams?

Hey soon-to-be fellow Great Lakers! My wife and I will be moving to Southwest Ohio this summer and I've seen that both the Newport Aquarium and the Cincinnati Zoo have volunteer dive teams to help with animal and exhibit maintenance. My FIL used to volunteer dive cleaning the manatee tanks at the Cincy Zoo. I'd love to get on one or both teams and I'm hoping someone here has experience with either crew and can give me some more info on what it's like, wait times, overall views of the program(s) , etc.
