Hello All!

I just got OW certified last week up here in Boston - water is a little chilly.. and murky.. but it was GREAT!

I've been perusing ScubaBoard threads for a little while now and have now decided to step out of the shadows.

My main reason for getting certified is 1. I've always been meaning to do it - and I've always had this slight phobia of the underwater (like giant lobster's erupting from some hidden cave and taking me to their lobster queen). Anyway - how do you get over a phobia (at least for me) learn more and subject yourself to it. So.. here I am. Reason # 2 I wanted to get certified is to bag some lob-stah (preferably the normal sized ones) and scallops (not sure how they say scallops here in Boston).

I'm looking forward to learning from you all - I present to you my humble mind for suggestions, knowledge and insight.

howdy and welcome from southeast Florida.....congrats on your certification..... now dive dive dive for a little experience......then go get Da Lob-Stah.

Welcome to SB. Some decent shore diving (and apparently charters) out of Cape Ann.
