I'm now certified! So excited about it. There was only myself and one other girl in class which was nice. The air temp was over70 degrees, which is awsome here in MO this time of year! the water in the quarry was cold, (57?) but we had a good time.

I only made one stupid mistake. Seriously stupid mistake. The third time I was to hand my instructor my octo when he signeled he was out of air, I spit out my regulator when I handed him the octo. He told me, from the look on my face, I looked like "Why the #@$$ did I just do that?" I didn't panic at all, which he thought was very good. Just handed him the octo and retreived my own regulator. Mostly I just felt stupid!

Very excited to be certified now!

Congratulations on getting certified. And good job on not panicing. I think that is the important thing. Problems will occur. If you can think them thru without panicing, you will solve them and learn from them.

Congrats on the cert and keeping your head in that situation. ;) Now your wallet/purse is going to hate you!! :D Keeping diving!! :coffee:

Now the fun begins --- diving without worrying about doing a CESA or swimming without a mask. Go someplace with 100 ft viz and 85 degree water and really see what the excitement is about.:D

I head to Panama City Florida for Thanksgiving. I plan on diving while there. No 80 degree temps this time of year, but much warmer then the quarry!

I really enjoy the quarry, I'm sure it will be better in summer weather!
