I just completed my open water diving and I am certified I can't wait to go diving again. My instructor today was differn't than yesterday the guy had a real attitude today and I don't think he really liked me. He said I need to relax and not use my arms and take my time and not rush into things is that normal I really couldn't tell with his attitude towards me. Any new divers in SW Michigan/Northern Indiana looking for a dive buddy??

Welcome to diving.

Yes, all of those instructions are completely appropriate. We try to make sure that our divers aren't doing those things before we put them in the open water.

You'll get longer, more pleasurable dives if you follow this advice.

I think part of my problem is I work nights and have been working 12 hour nights at my job and was overly tired and pushing myself and rushing things.
