Anyone know this site well? (Near Bristol, Wellington State park) N. of Wellington State park, left side of lake

I hear it's a neat wall dive I'm looking for where to park, details on entry point. Anyone interested in diving there Sunday?

PM me if so.

Seas will be crappy this weekend so Lake may be way to go.

Sorry, just saw this. The site is just past Wellington State Park, look for a rock cliff on the left side of the road, this cliff goes down into the water to 85'. Where to get in is tougher, there is one spot where you can gear up on the rocks and get in but it's tough to see or to find and everytime I go I have to refind it. It's maybe 200 yards from the end of the cliff, drop your gear there and park at the end on the left. Make sure you use a flag, not that the boaters will honor it but the Fish and Game will check.

I tried it out with DarkFrog yesterday. Definately worth checking out.

Wish I brought my Dry suit. Tad nippy down at depth once go below 25/30 feet. It was nice to hang at warmer depth to thaw out during surface interval.

Funny thing saw on bottom was sign saying illegal to paint on rocks per town order. The sign was right next to a rock underwater that had red painted letters w/ class of 92.

I find new things everytime I dive there. In order to give back to the site, somebody else gets to find my fin foot pocket shape keepers(or whatever those are called) because, despite my mentioning to you that I was going to walk back and grab them off the rock where I left them, I left them there. Doh. ;)

Cool. There must be other neat parts of that lake to try out.

Will PM you next time able to go up there again. It's a good place to go when seas in ocean are pounding.

wanted to try and get some people together to dive the lake.
with in the next 3 weeks (will give us some time to get this together)

so anyone up for a lake dive @ newfound lake ?

Gabe
