Hey Redman Welcome to Scubaboard. Have a great time with the OW cert dives and your trips...

Actually truth be told................its better to get the certification out of the way BEFORE you go so that you can just enjoy diving when you get there.

Hello everyone,

I just got into scuba diving, I have already completed my class work and my pool time and I am now waiting to get my OW cert. at Bonne Terre at the beginning of march, then a week after that I'm going to Cozumel and Grand Caymens and can have some fun.

Ryan

Ryan,

Welcome to a great place (SB) to learn and laugh.

You'll have to clue these folks in on the Bonne Terre facilities. I'm sure the tech divers are thinking "Oh no, an untrained student doing caves, overhead environment," etc.

Being from just across the Mississippi, in Illinois, I remember how it was to be 1,000 miles from the ocean. But, the lead mines, quarries and lakes up there offer some nice fresh water experiences.

Good luck, and keep breathing.
