I am a newbie U\W photographer - picked up a used Sea & Sea DX-860G about 2 months ago & have had some success with the onboard flash - I now know that I need a strobe to get better results

According to S&S - they recommend using the YS-27DX strobe but I was hoping for other (aka more) options. Would a YS-110 (or other S&S strobes) work here?

Can any of you more seasoned folks make a recommendation for this setup?

Thanks for any & all help

John

As I am a huge fan of the YS110a's...and any strobe they make should work with that camera (as most of the parts, cables and such are the same)...however, if you plan on keeping that camera, not sure it will work that much better (well, if you use the auto ttl feature, then that may be incorrect).

Having used two YS110's for several years now, I find them to be as close to perfect as any strobe I have ever used...
