Newbie from NC ...wishing it were FL

Have got the fever...only clear blue water will cool it down. Saw the sun from the bottom up. But they've told me I can't live down there! Don't believe it, the fish do. My instructor was MakoSince70 in Islamorada, FL. Awesome experience. Wouldn't put my face in the water without him. I was a little anxious but he made it fun. I kept breaking my seal laughing. He took the time and had the patience and knowledge to introduce me to the undersea world - things I would not have noticed by myself or with anybody else. Can't wait to go back! Hope he's not booked up. If so, I'll just sit on the dock till he's free! Sooner or later, they'll get tired of me and make a spot or I'll just stow away then they'll have to deal with me and I'm NOT snorkeling. Ok, I've bubbled on so it's time for dry land. Hi to everybody. Now I know why this becomes obsessive.

The Outer Banks Dive Center is located in Hatteras Village, NC. I've gone out with them before. Morehead City also has a Dive shop but I can't recall the name off-hand. In some places where the Gulf Stream flows through in the summer-time you can get a 75 degree bottom temp at or around 40-50'.

Welcome to the board. I know you will come to trust other divers as time passes. I know a lot of divers who are as passionate about the ocean as your instructor. They are also very excellent divers. I have personally dove with them before. I would trust them with my life anytime.
