Hello,

I heard a rumor, there are a couple of new wrecks in Cozumel to dive. Anybody dive them yet? I assume they are to take some of the pressure off the reef system and give the fish some additional habitat.

I recall reading that a Navy ship was sunk on June 3rd or 4th. I doubt it's open to divers yet.

I believe Wilma did a pretty good job with a few of the wrecks. I know there are some of them still in the marina. There is even an 80 foot wreck, you can visit, completely out of the water :D I would post pictures, but the board is still broken.

Hi Bruce!

There were two small boats sunk a few days ago...but they are not yet open to divers.

Whats happening Peter! Thanks for the info, I wasn't sure about the size, but know they are small Navy boats or ships, not as big as the current wreck dive. Hope to hear some dive repoprts soon :-). Something else to look forward to diving on my next trip down there.

Christi,

Where did they put these new boats down, near the Felipe Xicotencatl (C-53)?

Jim

Just north of town...in front of the military base more or less.
