By the way, as a point of reference: I am 6' 2" tall, currently 215 lbs. Everything being totally equal (drysuit or 7mm set up), just switching out my jacket style Scuba Pro X Glide Pro BC for the XDeep Ghost deluxe, allowed me to shave off 11 lbs of lead due to the buoyancy characteristic differences of the two rigs. Don't get me started on the huge differences and benefits in being streamlined. Night and day!

An alternative to the Xdeep ghost would be an aluminum backplate + 30-35 lb wing. You could get tank band and waist weight pockets. Generally each pocket holds up to 5 lbs. so you can remove or add pockets whether you need 20 lbs or 4 lbs. Tank band pockets will make the aluminum plate dive more like a steel plate.

Add a pocket to the bottom of the plate if you carry a large smb.

Thanks for all the great advice guys! I really appreciate the input...
Right now I am trying to decide between the ScubaPro Hydros Pro and the XDeep Ghost Deluxe. There is very little difference in price between the 2 BC's, in fact the XDeep is priced a little higher ($30 - nothing really)

I tried the Hydros Pro today and couldn't really decide on the best size for me as I am in between the Medium and large.

I am 6' 2" tall and weigh 184 lbs and feel the large was probably the best option for me in the hydros. I am hoping to be able to try the XDeep Ghost but currently can't find a supplier with the model in stock.

Does any one know what the full weight is of the Hydros and the XDeep Ghost Deluxe is?

Thanks again! :)
