My name is Richard Unsworth, I have worked as a marine biologist within the Wakatobi MNP, Indonesia for four years. I have recently built a tourist/travel website all about the Wakatobi that has been constructed for the purposes of promoting the park as a destination for small scales tourism. This is because tourism is seen as one of the main forms of providing alternative incomes to fishing for people living within the Wakatobi and hence is seen as having enormous conservation potential. Tourism will also provide increased need for people to actively protect their reefs. The website also contains conservation and development information.
