We are thinking about joining "AA" and hope to make our first meeting next thursday. Do they make us say "hello, my name is don...and I'm a scuba-holic " LOL.
Nah, I don't think they make you do that anymore ;) It is a good group of people and lots of us go diving most weekends in Lake George. I am usually over at Hearthstone but dive with the AA's when I am not helping with classes. I am going to try to get to the meeting so I hope to see you there.

Don't forget, the St. Lawrence and eastern Lake Ontario can make for wonderful weekend trips :)
Welcome!
(I'm starting to think that I should bring my gear when I go to the Jazz Fest, see what Lake George is like from underwater :)

Hello Iceguy4, nice Christmas gift! Greetings from another upstate NY diver. My kids are doing their OW in Lake George also this June, at Hearthstone (hi again Lorien). It's a small world, there are more divers in this region than I was aware of.

Do so. It's been years since I dived Lake George, but I'm going back this summer. Lorien on SB, has been telling me about some interresting uw sights, and I'd like to see the arch. sights of war vessels from the 1700's that are now available to dive there. A lot of history from that period in the region.

I need to find someone who's up to go diving either Friday afternoon or Monday morning -- the Festival's all day Sat and Sun. Lorien -- anyone out there do Friday diving?

I am sure there are, unfortunately I am heading out Friday for a trip to Dutch Springs to dive with my son for the weekend and try to get used to my new drysuit. Wish I could be 2 places at once ;)
Give Rich Morin's a call as he knows people who will be diving that weekend and may be able to hook you up with a buddy 1-800-924-DIVE (tell them Barbara told you to call) and I will see is any of the Aquanauts have anything planned and let you know. Rich will be happy to help you out and so would any Aquanauts that may be diving.

Jazz Festival is a month away, last weekend in June, plenty of time for me to poke about. Thanks!

Well silly me :11: I thought you were talking about this weekend. Plenty of time then. I am sure we can find someone to join you!
