Hello, does anyone here have experience with the XJ Goldfinder compared to a Seacraft Future 1000? I'm thinking about buying one of the two DPVs, but I'm not sure which one.
If money isn't an issue, then go for the Seacraft. I don't have experience with that scooter, but the shaftless prop is a key advantage. Modular battery is also awesome.

i bought a Goldfinder XJS a few months ago... I put it against the Suex VRX and the Suex XK (old non-Goldfinder version)
My impressions were obviously favoured towards the Goldfinder XJ for a few reasons....

The VRX was fast, nimble but felt 'twitchy'. The XK felt like a total beast, like a train, slow to turn and would really need time to turn due to its mass and size.

The XJ just had the right feeling (bit of a Goldilocks scenario) it felt nimble but not twitchy, stable but not too much effort to turn.

The big selling points for me though were the clear LED battery indicators on the side so you could see realtime runtime without needing the Suex ERON computer thing.
The other (main) thing was the way the DPV refuses to 'spin-up' and rotate underwater, it really is hands-free cruise control if needed while towing. Not sure how they do this but whichever way you aim the thing it just tracks on heading perfectly without any rotation.... none at all.

We all have confirmation bias on the things we buy, especially expensive items, but i really do think i made the right choice with the Goldfinder XJ, i even got it in Gold too so it just looks so cool in the water, which, lets face it, is the most important thing right?!
