Got certified through NAUI back about 1999, bought all my gear around that time, took a few advanced courses through SSI during college years to fulfill my phys ed requisite, logged a few dives in Coz, the Flower Gardens, and a couple of local spots...and then for some reason left it all behind. Perhaps it was due to the daily demands of life: job, marriage and two kids... Who knows...

Oh well. I'm planning a refresher course sometime in the near future, along with a gear update perhaps (I'm sure technology has improved in 15 years) a nitrox course, and I'm gonna dive back into this sport.

I've been lurking around SB for a few weeks now and find it entertaining, informative, and an awesome way to spend my days at work. :rofl3:

Job...Marriage...Kids...all are definitely fun killers! Welcome back!

howdy and welcome from south Florida....it would be cool if you still have your dive log.

Sounds like we're in a similar situation, except I've been away from the sport even longer!
I will be doing the same plan as you.
:cool3:
Should be fun!
