Why do you care if it's in Broward? The OP stated he's new to FL and was looking for a CLUB! I wouldn't think a 20-minute drive would be too far out of his way for some of the best diving in South Florida.

The Scuba Club is a fine dive operator, I did my AOW with them and used to occasionally dive with them Friday afternoons when I played hooky and they were the only boat in north Palm Beach County that routinely went out Friday afternoons (I don't think that is true any longer) . But they're not really a dive club in the traditional sense of the phrase.
They are in WPB, not Boca. Its a solid 50 minute to hour drive from FLL unless the Op lives right next to I-95, only goes north during non-rush hour times and drives like a bat out of heck
