Was lurking a couple of months and got good infromation to plan and take a trip to Key Largo with my wife on our 23rd wedding anniversery. Will post a report soon.

Have been Open Water certified since 1984 with most of my diving spearfishing the oil platforms in the Gulf of Mexico off the coast of Louisiana.

Look forward to your report, hope you had a good time visiting our pleasant state and in particular one of the better areas! Welcome to the board, feel free to share your experience with the rest of us.

Hi seagull and welcome to SB. I already read your trip report on Key Largo, good report.

Been to Key Largo many a time, always loved it - I'm sure y'all will, too.

Seagull,

I normally don't reply to the introductions, but I do pay attention. I noticed you are from Houma. I used to work for Schlumberger Offshore Services 26 years ago. I worked out of Morgan City and then Lafayette, before I left Schlumberger to head back home to Florida and my sweetie. I remember some great food from Houma and some crawfish boils and beer that were wonderful. Just about the only thing I miss from that job. Have fun in the Keys, I love it there.

Thanks everyone.
Trip to the Keys was great.

Dennis,
The food we had while down in the Keys was pretty good also, not cajun, but good.

Seagull,

You and I both know that people from Louisiana don't like to be called Cajuns. But you can get some of the best grouper sandwiches in the world at Craigs in Tavenier
