New to Southwest Florida

Hi All-- New to southwest florida and new to Scubaboard. Just wondering if anyone knows of any group or organization that focuses on local diving in the Naples/Ft. Myers area. Thanks

Just returned from a week in Ft. Myers... My buddy and I rented tanks from Dean's Dive Center right off US 41. They seemed like a pretty good operation, and could probably point you in the right direction.

I got the impression that most of the local divers go either north or east for diving, as you have to go pretty far out in the Gulf to get any depth. You won't hit 30' until about 5 miles out. We dived in about 19', 2 miles SW of Ft Myers Beach on Monday, with about 8' of viz...

Like the previous poster said most of us go east to West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale or the Keys or drive north to the springs or Tampa/St.Pete's.
