Welcome to the Board. Please let us know what you think of Bonne Terre when you get back home. I didn't realize they did Open Water checkouts there. I hope to go there this Spring.

I can't wait to go. They do have a website http://www.2dive.com/ and there is quite a bit of info for the mine. The shop I'm going with has a pretty good relationship with them, and take a trip or two a year there. I bought a uw case for my Canon digital, so I hope I get to go on the trail where the camera is allowed (one trail is not), so I'll even have some pics to bring back :)

Hey welcome to the board. I was born in Detriot, Michigan many eons ago and did my first open water course with the Michigan Underwater school of Diving (M.U.S.D) on Michigan Ave, in 1973. Does it still exist? I have been living in Gozo, Malta since 1980. Haven, t been back since.

I'm actually in Grand Rapids, across the state from Detroit. I will see if there is a way to find out though :)

Yes, and that Ginnie Springs looks very cool. They have a website, so it looks like I will be making a detour :)

Thanks for the offer but dont put yourself out. When I did the Open Water it was NASDS (National Ass. Of Scuba Diving Schools) Now I am a Padi Instructor. The only diving i have done back in the good old USA was in Florida, Keys. Great fun, love to go back some time.

Welcome to Scubaboard Primalchaos,

Also check out Great Lakes Wrecking Crew, here on the board. We're under Scubaboard Clubs, near the bottom of the screen, on the home page.
