Hello everyone,

I am new to the board and relatively new to Scuba and I have found so much information on this board.

I have dove in Cancun, Cabo and Florida. I became certified last March at Folsom Lake in Northern CA and boy was it crappy. The water temp was 54 degree's and visability was about two feet (it felt like -0- to me) and my DM told me if I could dive there, I could dive just about anywhere.

Since then, my husband and I dove in Cabo three times (last May) and I'm hooked. Now I want to do a live aboard but we are going back to Cabo next Saturday so I guess I'll have to wait.

We are thinking of taking the dive to Cabo Pulmo and diving there. Anyone have any input about Cabo Pulmo???

Thanks for all the information....

Julie

Hey julegib, welcome to SB. Planning on doing Cabo Pulmo this Oct. Gordo Banks is cool also, deep dive 100+ ft.

dlndavid, I will let you know about Cabo Pulmo when we return. We leave next Saturday and plan on doing days of diving in Cabo then a day trip to Cabo Pulmo. I can't wait, getting really excited.

You live within an easy drive of the ocean. Some of the best diving anyplace is a lot closer than Mexico. The water is warmming up and the viz is good now too. There are big forests of kelp, some first rate wrecks and more to see than anyone every could. Lot's of local divers who are willing to help you get into local diving too. Ask here, send PM orgo to one of the Calif. forums.

Sounds like you two have a good start. Have you checked our Mexico forum or tried our Search feature? Be sure to check out your local California dive club forum. :thumb:

Thank you everyone for all your input. I will check out the Mexico forum and I know my husband and I will be checking out diving in all area's of California. He really wants to go to Montery for some kelp diving but I think I'll sit that one out.

Well thanks again, have a great day!!!
