Barracuda, yes I am planning on getting to Gilboa as soon water temps permit. I’m not diving dry, yet, so it’s going to be a bit before I get there. Hopefully the winter will remain mild and it won’t take too long for the temperature to rise.

I think the ice dive is probably going to be a wash. I think the window for that has passed according to extended forecasts for the area. We had several local ponds freeze 3"+ in December.

WTP...for sure not $20 a day. If Rick puts in running water and hot showers then I would pay. Mermet has a NICE set up (warm showers) and they charge $15. I won't be bashful about telling Rick that I won't be back. Drive another hour and a half and dive at Joe's and not have to deal with the newbs mucking up the shallows. There is also France Park and the other two holes down the road from BS.

I hear a lot about wanting a club (dues.meetings, etc.) but with the sue happy society that we have I won't be part of it. There have been a couple posts here where the club members were being sued for something really stupid. Will it hold in court?..don't care. My time is worth more than anything.

Now that I have my dry suit I will dive all year, just give me a shout a few days in advance.

You get to Chicago and get north about a 1 & 1/2 hr's hit me up any weekend,have boat and dive all weekends that we can get out! No charge,just have a rig for the temps and lets dive! Brad

I will defanately talk with Rick about the new outrageous entrance fee. It is 100% increase. I am not sure what will be changed after raising up the fee. But, I doubt there is a hot shower, running water, new shelter, new table, new locker room, or new sight seeing. This isn't Rick's main business.

Sorry. I have to let you know the weekend dive in advance. But, it is just an implusive plan....

I'll dive with you! Especially if it is on Brad's boat! Also, if you are hanging around Naperville, there are MUCH closer quarries than Gilboa. Haigh is a great place to keep yourself in fighting trim before you get out on the big lake.

If you can make it up this side of the lake some weekend, Come on up! have the equipment and have safe dive practices lets dive~! The price is right= Free!
If you dive dry the year is open's real soon well it dose not realy stop but,,,Just got to hope for a year with out rain like last year! made the diving the big pond Great!

Hell I even have hot water off the engine for wet divers/warm ups at that price!!

$20 for a day for no showers or real bathrooms. If he dose that you can cut my vists there by 75- 100 percent.

If he was going to do or had done some MAJOR improvements then maybe. I think Rick will soon find out that he isn't the only dive hole. Personally, if it wasn't so close then I wouldn't do half the dives that I do there.
Just had a thought, I wonder if his insurance went up because of the accident that he had last year and now he is trying to make up for it.
