Hello all- I recently moved to the Fernandina beach area and am also a relatively new diver (25 dives now/ocean and springs). I am looking to meet some new dive buddies and friends. Can’t wait to explore my new home.

Are most of the local dive shops good- any particular one better than the other?

fernandina is pretty close to jax right? i'm moving to jacksonville this sunday( 9th ), if we are close to each other we should get together and explore.

Hello Happydiver123,
I live in your same area and have been looking for new divers. I personally do not recommend the dive shop on the island. I'm pretty sure I got some bad air from them one time. I have been looking at DiversDen in Kingsland. They are a little closer then the one's in Jacksonville.

Good Luck with the Move willianstr1ker!! Fernandina is North of Jax-close if you are in North Jax.

Hey back40,

Have you been to DiversDen yet? How often do you get out- what are some of your favorite dives?

I have been to Divers Den and the shop looks nice and the staff was very helpful. I have not dove with them yet but they say they go out every weekend. They also just got a new boat that looks sweet. The price they gave me was $125 for all day (3-4 tanks) but I'm not sure if that included tanks or if you need your own.
