I am very new to the diving world, and wasn't sure I was gonna make it while getting certified. I will say this, even though I am a CAD I really enjoyed being under the sea with my baby and me and having our swim about.
You all probably know who I am via my husband Syruss...I am on my way to the doctors this morning to find out what happened to my ears. Having had the instructor from hell and a problem with equalization I think that I have a diffinite problem with my ears. I have a new hand signal for my instructor, but I don't know if you all are ready to see it.
I feel that I should have a different certification from the rest of PADI, being that I completed my pool skills in 3' waves and an undertoe. The question that I had to ask myself periodically through this ordeal, was it worth it...HELL YES. BTW: I completed my certification and went sailing with Michelle and Lenny....truely they are island gems. They own the Yacht Opus and what a spectacular yacht it is and what great captains they are. So with all this said...even though I am a guppy to the diving world, I am excited and looking for our next adventure under the sea. =-)

I can hear the drumroll anouncing her arrival! My wife is now officially part of the worldwide dive communicated dedicated to the removal of morons in the dive instructor business.

So long J.P.

Love ya hon....

Ashley!

Since you have probably heard Syruss laughing, cursing, crying and gasping as he stared at his CRT, I probably do not have to tell you much about this Board!

And I see you are already self-identified as a CAD! I have been named a Co-Founder of CAD (by the other Co-Founder) and am pleased to see our ranks grow. That does not mean, however, that we are growing rank!

So, again, welcome...and do not be shy! Besides we want some dirt on Syruss! He just seems too clean!

Joewr...

You and I have to talk girl. That man of yours is, and I'm sure you know this, a charming guy but oh he can stir up the kettle.

Welcome to the fun and games that abound here, and as Syruss has told you some of us are highly unique and rather special.

Syruss wants us to come down and dive the Texas murk and we want y'all to come up here and dive the pristine waters and wrecks of Lake Ontario...........................

BTW I am the good looking twin.........my condolences to you for having married the ugly one..................hehe

Ashley,

Welcome aboard. I am very proud of you for sticking it out and finishing your certification in spite of the instructor from hell. Now you can begin to enjoy the wonderful world of diving on your own terms.

Have a great time and if you need anything, let us know.

Welcome Ashely, now maybe we have a chance of keeping syrus in line. His designated regulator has had a real handful :)

ps
Congrats on finishing your cert, I can imagine what your new hand signal looks like :).

Ashley,
Welcome from NJ.
As Syruss' wife, you probably know all about this Board, welcome, good luck and don't forget to duck as you read some of the more witty posts.
Also bravo once again for persevering and prevailing in your OW training- despite the awful instructor.
