Thanks Brian!
For now I will shop for a mask, tuba and fins for my diving class. I will probably try them on in a shop and buy in on ebay to save some ca$h. Ebay has awesome deals for scuba stuff!! I almost fell for and new old stock us divers aqualong regulator for 50$! :)

Uh, the part I underlined would be rude. If the dive shop earns the sale, give it to him, IMHO, even if it costs a few bucks more. Besides, if you don't support your local shop, they may not be there to support the sport.

Saving money online is appealing, but in store service is worth a lot. I'm buying my second Reg system this week, upgrading to a new model, and I know more that you I think, but I'm buying it from a local shop I know, with a Tech I trust.

My 2# worhth, anyway... :eyebrow:

It maybe rude but I did mean what I said!
My local shop is one of the biggest in Canada and their service is not very good. They do not care about the "little" individual newby diver. I know that from a couple of my friends experience with that local shop...If you come in the shop planing to buy the complete gear they will be super nice! I just want to buy a peice at a time.

I checked out some gear prices at that shop and then compared them to some ebay prices of the same gear(brand new in box) and it was 50% less!!! Now I dont know about you but as for me buying it at my local shop would be a bit crazy!!
