I am a medical student in south florida and my girlfriend got me into diving last year. We have been to Pennekamp in Key Largo quite a few times with Silent World Divers and have had a great experience. We try to take one day a month and go diving and it makes you feel like you had a week vacation. There is no better release from the stresses of daily life.

Sure there is: take more days! :)

I try to go every weekend (but don't allways succeed).

Welcome to the board Matt.

Welcome to the board. You are right. It is like taking a week vacation. We I dive, I leave all of my problems on land like shedding a thick heavy winter coat in the middle of the summer. Keep diving and don't forget to check out the Florida Conch Divers forum. We plan a lot of events in there. Here is a link to help you along.

Welcome to ScubaBoard! I came here to look for help with my scuba diving dream and the response has been fantastic. So, I know you will enjoy being a member here. There are a lot of nice and informative scuba divers. It's a good place to meet other divers and share experiences and dreams. Take care and Happy Diving. Matt. :snorkels::yl2jump:

Sounds like fun to me. Must be nice to live so close to Key Largo - at least between storms...
