New to board, not so new to SCUBA

Hello all, just signed up. Hope to learn more and discover some things. Anyone from So. Indiana? Anyone figure a way to sneak out of the house for about 12 hrs to go diving, without the wife and kids noticing? Kids are less than 10 yrs. old, so they would notice - kind of....

LOL!! Welcome. I have 2 little young ' uns both under 8. Believe me, once they know you are pursuing something that has to do with water, they will sense your abscence from the home and form an organized protest!

At best, you can hope for a day every few weeks. I encourage my strategy, I got my wife intrested in diving. Now I just sit quietly by while she co-ordinates the sitters and plans boat trips/seal dives.

She's happy and I get to look like the hero for bringing her into something that I hold dear to me.

I used to have this problem, then bought a dive center. Now the problem is that I dont have time to dive! Oh well!

Welcome to the board! I'm not from S. Indiana but I'm not too far from Cincinnati. Where do you usually dive? Can't really give you any advice on sneaking out, maybe you could send the kids to a sitter and the wife for a massage or spa treatment.

Check out the Kentucky Piranha Patrol and Great Lakes Wrecking Crew sections of the board to see when people in this area are diving. You're kind of in the middle of the two groups which is a very good thing!
