I think you may have misread 4m for 40m. The old jetstreams were prone to fluttering if tuned incorrectly at the surface, but the Xstream design is much more refined *same guts, but a different case design*. I'm not a huge fan of their mouthpieces, but if you like them then happy days. If you decide you want to change, look at the Comfobite mouthpieces sold by Apeks. That's what I have on mine and they fit the Poseidons with a little bit of persuasion.

Thanks for the tip. I re-use my Jetstream for the first time in years, and i their original mouthpiece is sh.t. Will try with the Apeks Comfobite, which i like on my Apeks XTX 50.

Big exstreme fan here, I must have 10 sets of them, (2 sets of full twinset configs and the rest bailout / stage)
I got disillusioned with them when after servicing they got progressively worse,,, I learnt to do them myself and now they’re like new, some are 15yrs old

@JCope3 glad you like them!
Service courses are offered, you'll have to check their website to find out where they are offered close to you. Tools to service can be purchased cheaply at the link below. You'll need the 17mm socket, and you'll want the tool kit for the second stages as well as the first stage socket for the xstream. Having a first stage holder is also convenient, but not necessary.
Special Tools for Poseidon® Regulators

The first stages are definitely solid blocks of brass, though they are quite a bit lighter than some chunkier first stages that are just physically larger *Apeks DST*, but they definitely inspire confidence when you hold them.

At very low pressures, they will free flow, but that's below 10bar. They have a weird "hey dumba$$, your gas is low" notice where they will start to bleed for a second after you stop inhaling. They will lock up, but you'll see the exhaust bubbles going out in a little stream for a second. It's how I know to get off of a stage bottle in a cave, but not something I would try to find out on my primary regulators.

Your picture settings for your album must be set incorrectly for permissions since we can't see them. The best way to do pictures on this forum is to upload them to facebook and copy the link address and insert them that way.
Hi!
I found Comfobite Apeks at divegearexpress, do know which model fits Xstream regulators?
Im hoping it’s the regular one since the small edition is currently out of stock in divegearexpress. 😄

They fit. I don’t think those two sizes differ on the regulator side either, it’s more about the size of the ”bite”

Regular fits. The Poseidon opening is actually slightly bigger than "normal", I use comfobites from Apeks or @Deep6_Official and they are fantastic. In sidemount I have my long hose come into my mouth from the left so I use a Poseidon mouthpiece for that since it is "upside-down" in my mouth but then when I donate it is "right side up" in the receivers, but all of my other regulators including my Argonaut Kraken and all of my Deep6 regulators have the comfobite mouthpieces, massive improvement

I dive mainly with sidemount and use a different set of regulator for backmount. Damn was not thinking about the "right side up" , because with standard Poseidon mouthpiece it doesn't matter. Yeah this could create an issue if I put this Apeks mouthpieces in my Sidemount configuration and donate air with the wrong side up

i have a couple of sets of old jetstreams i bought used back in 1988 i have used them for my advance up through my instructors as well as my deep air, still working great with regular service, they have over 2000 dives on them, been rebuilt many times but still working great
