New Nonstop To Bonaire From Houston Yipee

We are still working on the flight from FLL to Bonaire non-stop and should have a formal announcement in the next 2 weeks.

BUT, Continental announced today that they will be flying to Bonaire weekly out of Houston effective December 16, 2005. You will be able to make reservations on line beginning July 1st 2005

Fantastic! Is 12/16 a typo? I would guess they'd have weekly Saturday service instead of Friday? Still, I'd fly Fridays if thats whats offered.

I'll be interested to see the details of the Continental Flight and the charter out of FLL.

Bulletin (June 12, 2005) The Bonaire Island Government just announced that it has an agreement with Continental Airlines to fly daily from Houston to Bonaire beginning Saturday, December 16. Booking via the airline reservation systems should be available July 1. Meanwhile, efforts to organize weekly charters from Fort Lauderdale (FLL) to Bonaire are proceeding well and a public announcement is expected by the end of this month

From an email I got from Sand Dollar-

Starting December 15th, 2005, Continental Airlines will start flying direct to Bonaire from Houston. The flight is schedule to depart Friday nights at 12:00am (midnight) and arrive in Bonaire at approx. 5:30am. The same jet plane will depart Bonaire at 8:00am Saturday, flying direct, non-stop back to Houston.
