Hi everybody!!!,
I'm SO excited about learning to dive! And everything is so new! :D I took my knowledge for open water through PADI eLearning CBT. I have my enclosed and open water training starting April 4th with Underwater Sports. My instructor, coincidentally works down stairs from me at Costco. He works in our Network Operations Center and I work upstairs in Information Security. But that is the Day job - I'm also a gigging musician, and you can find me on myspace, twitter, facebook and (wait for it......) my site all under my stage name, Marie Kelton - Feel free to find me! I keep up more with myspace and twitter.... my url is dub dub dub dot redravensounds dot com]Red Raven Sounds

I want to incorporate what I see under the waves into my song writing to help to raise environmental awareness, as well as I hope, make good music.

I'm also an avid cyclist, and commute to work on my bike every chance that I get.

So to sum up:
I'm a totally blown away dive student
Singer/songwriter/musician (guitar, keyboards, bass, synth)
Bike riding
geek
and errrr also a classically trained ballet dancer :-D

I'd LOVE to hear from other diving musicians (or anyone else on this board ;-) )

Rock on gang,
Cindy

Welcome to the SB community. I am absolutely tone deaf and was told by my band director to just move the slide on my trombone and NOT to blow through the mouthpiece when we marched in parades. I guess we all have diverse talents!

Cindy_K, welcome to ScubaBoard. . .
There are lots of divers here that will visit on any topic for dive partners, education, equipment, just click on the "Forums" button on the top of the page.

As for Scuba related songs. . . There is a performer in the Bahamas, known as the Barefoot Man, that has music available, probably google for availability. Such great classics as "Tiny Bubbles, In My Brain. . ." and more. When your write and perform, put your music here for us to shop for.

Hey Mudhole!
"Tiny Bubbles In my Brain" That really cracks me up! I tend to be too serious in most of my lyrics - But Barefoot's song title brings up my silly side. :rofl3:

So...
How bout "8 Arms to Love me"
(Look'n for that special Octopus) LOL
Wellll........... the Beatles were going to use that - but the title was changed to "Hard Day's Night"
Gonna check out Barefoot
