Welcome Aboard!!!

It's addictive, but who cares?!?!?

Good friends and good info. What could be better???

P.S. - If you have not already done so, please fill out your profile.

Check out Florida Conch Divers. If you want to meet up in Ft. lauderdale and do some beach diving, let us know. Or WPB

Welcome! If you love the first pool session, you'll love the rest. :)
Enjoy the FL water! Some of us have to deal with that grand ol' New England visibility. ;)

I've been lurking for a few weeks (since I signed up for the SSI open water) and thought it about time to say hello. My fiance dives and the rest, I suppose, follows. We live in Central Florida which makes for lots of great options (which makes me wonder why my open water is in a murky old lake, but, whatcha' going to do?)

Have made it through the first pool session and am loving it.

Welcome to the board. Hope you enjoy your ow dives.

Have fun and dive safe.

Paul.

And welcome to the Boards.........You've already been told about the FL Conch Divers Section. Like I did I'm sure you will learn a lot here ;)

Great to have you on board. This is the best place to ask those dumb questions ( only dumb question is one that is not asked). There is a wealth of knowledge here and answers to suit your diving style.

Thanks for the kind words of welcome.

Once I figured out 1) that blowing doesn't work to clear my ears but swallowing clears them just fine; and 2) that it takes a LOT more work to get the invisible film that causes fogging off the mask than one initially thinks the pool sessions have been great fun.

The open water is SUPPOSED to be this Saturday and Sunday, but, well, there might not be much going on outdoors in Central Florida on Saturday.

Welcome to the board!

I am a Tampa native living in Hunstville, AL now. I was watching Hurricane Charley very closely. Obviously, I am happy that it worked out for them; however, I hope you came through it all right.
