Congratulations Patrick,

Pat finished his inspiration class with flying colors.. Talking with him he plans on logging lots of hours before december, and Tom will teach someone without any OC cave experience..

After this weekend Patrick probably thinks I was either a drill sargeant or some type of torture specialist in a previous life.. I bet he got tired of me pulling out my "failure" cue cards and making him to simulated falures..

The quarry was very busy this weekend and the viz was the pits.. bottom temps were in the upper 40s

Lets see, this weekend Patrick got to see a cement truck, a pump station, lots of traing platforms, a fire truck, school bus, crane, 50ft cabin cruiser, a cessna, a sikorski, a van, car, lots of confused fish, and tons of Zebra mussels... I hope he enjoyed it....

My dive training philosophy is to take as many classes as I can as a beginner. Not for the C-Cards, but because I would rather make my beginner mistakes and get through the initial learning curve with an instructor at my side. And, having completed my first CCR class, I definitely feel like a beginner again.

I won't be heading into caves outside of the class any time soon, there aren't any near me ... I just want to task load and get more inspiration hours under my belt with an instructor before I start doing any serious diving with it. Besides, I always wanted to take a class with Tom Mount.
