Can someone give me some tips on what settings to start using on my new GoPro Hero 4 Silver? I previously had a GoPro White, but felt that my videos were lacking clarity and after much debate, sold it and got the Silver.

Now, I have the option of shooting Pro Tune and 1080p at 60fps… I’ve read quite a few threads on here on people shooting 760 at 60fps to get better footage, but it seems those threads are not using the Hero 4.

Is 1080 at 60 fps a data space massacre? I’ve currently got a 32 gig memory card and with the white (had no LCD back) it would last me 2 entire dives and more – roughly 2-3 hours. I’ve never had my old gopro run out of memory. Should I expect this if I shoot 1080 at 60 fps?

I’m also unsure if I should shoot in protune mode, the most that I know how to do is basically use iMovie and slide the little color wheel until the pictures look like they have the ‘correct’ colors… I’ve done it for all of our current videos.

I’ve also purchased a tray setup that hasn’t arrived yet recommended by Toozler (Thanks again!)… AND I’ve sold my Polar Pro filter and purchased a Backscatter flip 3.1…

THOUGHTS? COMMENTS? SUGGESTIONS?

Faster fps means the camera will absorb less light. I don't really see the advantage in shooting 60fps. Shoot 1080p@30fps and if you need, you can still slow footage by 10-15% without making it look weird. Also saves on storage.

About Protune: I don't see a need for the extra editing work if your filter is doing what it's supposed to do. You can still make small adjustments in saturation and contrast on footage shot with Protune disabled.

Toozler here is my attempt at making my new setup, I couldn't connect the srp snake hands on the top so I flipped them around. Do you think the lights will have enough angle to avoid back scatter?
