DiveNav is pleased to announce another new eDive site, Veteran's Park, Redondo Beach, has been added to its free eDiving service. One of the easiest dive sites in Southern California, Vet's Park has something to offer for all levels of divers. Within a short swim, you can be in the Redondo Canyon offering depths up to and exceeding recreational limits For those who prefer the shallower areas, the site is well known for Bat Rays, Sheep Crabs, fields of Sand Dollars, and the "Monument".

With the addition of this new dive site, you can now eDive:
  • Veteran's Park, Redondo Beach (new)
  • Isthmus Reef, Catalina Island (new)
  • The Avalon Underwater Park, Catalina Island
  • The HMCS Yukon in San Diego
  • Vallecitos Point, La Jolla Shores
  • Bird Rock, Catalina Island
  • with new eDive sites added through the end of 2008.
In conjunction with the production launch of the eDiving™ service at the 2008 Long Beach Scuba Show, DiveNav is conducting a contest with prizes worth over $10,000 for divers, dive instructors, and dive retailers. Weekly and monthly prizes include BCDs, regulators, split fins, and various dive accessories from leading scuba manufacturers. The Grand Prize Winner will receive two OceanReef Full Face Masks with Underwater Communications.

Next week, the weekly prize will be a BG110 Wheeled Backpack also from XSScuba. Also next week, we will be holding our first Monthly Drawing for a ScubaPro KnightHawk or LadyHawk BCD with an integrated AIR2 octopus/inflator....retail value is $725. Entries will be drawn from all qualifying eDives made through July 31st. It's not too late to register and make qualifying eDives for a chance to win (contest rules are at here)

Btw, what is the POI closest to shore all about? I can't find it. I only see it on the mini map.
 
Alberto... I just can't keep up with you and the DiveNav crew. I'm still looking for that great white at the boundary of the Casino Point Dive Park. Congratulations on the addition of another new dive site to the "family."
 
I can't keep up ether (but I did see that grteat white .. kinda spooky :D

try bringing up the contour map ( M ) and clicking on the icon for that POI .. it should highlight it so you can find it during the dive
