Well I will be scraping the dive trip to Nubble Light this Saturday, so I need some suggestions of spots in RI.

I have dove Wetherill coves and BullPoint many times and I was thinking of trying something new. Maybe Beavertail or Kings Beach...what should I look out for conditions wise if I dive Beavertail and which parking lot is best?

Looks like weather is going to be great and there is going to be a light westerly wind all day.

Indian Rock (the end of Hazard Avenue) in Narragansett was a great dive when I was there some years ago. It was a timed entry off and on the rocks so be careful in you try it.

I like Beavertail parking lot #2 the best.

It's a west exposer so watch the weather or you'll get blown out with surge. On a calm day its a beautiful dive with an easy shore entry, although you have to lug your gear down a steep bluff to get there. There are some nice ledges, walls, and swim throughs. Lots of tatoug and strippers as well.

I was out there last week and had 25' of vis and 67° water temps with a max depth of 45 fsw.

Western exposure with west winds could make for bad conditions I guess? Is there a bail out spot there?

Beavertail is on a smallish point that sticks out into the bay. Theoretically if the parking lot #2 side is getting slammed then the #3 side could be safe, But every time that I've been there the opposite is true. Lot #3 is a more difficult entry area anyway. If #2 gets blown out I'll either head to Ft. Wetherill (yuck), or just go strait down to the Oyster Bar and call it a day.

Kings Beach in Newport is also an option.
