Anyone have any new info on these?

I had contacted the US rep, but he has not responded.

Anyone dive in one yet?

Michael

DivingBear08:
Oh i know you meant no harm in it, was just curious about what you meant. I am actually thinking about purchasing the bp to install in the besea to counteract the 4 lbs +buoyancy, and to add some more rigidity for when i switch to doubles with a stage.

I saw these at BTS and the wing looks like a singles wing. It appeared that if you would mount doubles on it, it would press on the wing possibly trapping air. (Didn't read all the replies, sorry if anybody else said this)

Based on the product description, what is the better off compared to DR Transpac II and DR BP/Wing setup? The price is almost double, but I am wondering if it is worth to pay for.

You are right about the wings possibly being too small for doubles, however that is only the w50. I would say avoid the w50 if you are thinking about going to doubles. I am making the switch to doubles in the very near future, and the W100 or D100 are suitable for this purpose. The wings are much wider and tanks will not touch, as I have just purchased the W100.

So, anyone dive these yet???

I saw one in my LDS last week when I was explaning to them that my "high pressure" tanks did in fact have the correct valve on them.

Looked like it would make a pretty decent suspension for a backpacking pack ;)

My LDS just got in one of the new Poseidon BC's. It is supernice looking and you can just see the quality. They have one hooked to a tank so, I tried it on. It felt like a nice backpack. I don't know how it will dive and effect trim. But, I know the long walk to the beach would be better. Currently, I dive with a DiveRite Plate and a Faber 108. I am wondering if this new BC might be for me.

I just couldn't help myself and went ahead and bought the new besea. I went ahead and got the 50 as I will for sure use it when we vacation. I'm concerned about trim and weight as I am used to the BP&W. I see on their website that they have a plate listed as an accessory but I am conserned on how it would all hook together. The way the wing hooks up is differant than a back plate and wind. I will dive it next week weather permiting.

So, tell us. How did it go? Do you like the new Besea?

Michael
