I'm all about seeking out new and better ways of doing things, but it has to be "better". I don't see this system addressing any "problems" with today's dive gear, except maybe providing a crutch for people who don't know how to dive. The trade-off, of course, is a rig that is impossible trim, is impossible to configure w/ other equipment, and has boat loads of drag. If you are that scared of an uncontrolled ascent you should drag an anchor behind you, it would probably be easier to swim.

Sorry to be harsh, but I think this thing needs to go back to the drawing board. If you are going to introduce a product to the diving community, it would be wise to get some experience diving and figure out what divers want and need.
