The plate is actually molded to the shape of your back like a muscle t-shirt. There is a tank rest attached to the lower portion that holds the tank and keeps it parallel to the axis of your body. The plate is designed for a single tank so you dont' have a deep channel down the middle. The STA is built right into it with slots for the cam bands. it really is a work of art. I may not be describing it very well, but when you see it, you will understand.
