New and Rearing to Go in OC Calif!

Hello all!!
I am certified as of Saturday, and got all my gear so I can't wait to get back in. Tried on Sunday at Crescent - the waves were a little big and got my first experience crawling in the sand! Visibility was poor, but I had a great time!

If you are looking for a dive buddy ever and live in Orange County area, send me an email. I generally work M-F 9-5, but have every other Friday off. My work is flexible, and now that summer is here - evenings could be good as well!

Hi Kara & congrats on your certification! I also went to Crescent on Sunday, but didn't like the look of the waves, so I went next door to Shaw's Cove.. The waves were a little smaller and the vis was 10-15 ft or so, plus the reefs were full of marine life :goldfish: I'm in San Diego county, but dive at Shaws as often as possible so maybe we'll bump into each other out there one of these weekends.

Hi Missy,
Yes the waves were big! My boyfriend was finishing up his rescue diver class and they sure got tumbled! I think it would have been better to be body surfing on sunday, but I had to try out my new gear We did see some fish, but I was mostly playing around with my gear and practicing my buoyancy.

Would be great to bump into you down there sometime!!
