Hello from Georgia. New to scuba board, and feeling like a new diver again. I have rediscovered diving again and the addiction is strong. First dive after 10 years was in the Bahamas, woooow. I do need some advise. When on a dive but you do not have a dive buddy what do you do in finding someone to dive with?
Thanks for any input.

Welcome to the board!

Joe

I think one of the ways is to definitely ask that question here. I am sure that someone will make a few local suggestions. There is a forum Deep South Diving which covers your area so make a posting there and see what happens. Good luck in your search for a buddy, welcome to the board and happy diving again. :)

welcome, enjoy, learn, share.

I live in MS, and work out of AR. always looking for dive buddies.

Howdy! You'll like it here, this is the most informative place to go for SCUBA on the internet. Whether you want info, humor, or spirited debate, (or sometimes all three at once!), this is the place! :crafty:

You find a buddy!! The way I do it is I book diving on a charter with other people, then ask the Dive Master to help pair me up, or go with me...

Howdy!

Welcome to SB!!
:happywave Put us in your computer's favorites and check in often. This is a great place to learn, compare, argue :argue: Look around our various forums - everything from New-To-Scuba to Instructors-Only to Dive Medicine.

Hello from Matt,

Welcome to SB! :scatter: I came here to look for help with my scuba diving dream and the response has been fantastic. So, I know you will enjoy being a member here.
There are a lot of nice and informative scuba divers. It's a good place to meet other divers and share experiences and dreams. Take care from Matt. :snorkels:

Heya and welcome to the Board. It’s the perfect place to spend your SI and meet new divers. As for finding dive buddies, (spare of the moment) contact whomever your chartering out with and see if they put a DM in the water that you could pair up with or maybe if they have booked any other single divers for that trip. Other than that, check with your LDS and see if they have club dives. I've found a ton of buddies right here on the Board, as well.

Welcome Aboard!!!

It's addictive, but who cares?!?!?

Good friends and good info. What could be better???

P.S. - If you have not already done so, please fill out your profile.

It is great to be back. Isn't it???
